There was a great post of a video on Linkedin urging Africans to reject the enslaving religion of Christianity and come back to African Spirituality. I thought it made a lot of sense.

This post was also attached to it:

African spirituality a sure path towards knowing thyself.
Did you know that the Church was the architect of Slavery and colonialism?
If not for Pope Nicholas V Africans would never have been enslaved.
Before Pope Francis preaches about forgiveness they should first pay reparations to Africa.
The Papal Bull of 1455 justified the expansion of (black) African slavery within early Iberian colonies, and the acquisition of more African captives and territory (LDHI, 2020).

On June 18, 1452, Pope Nicholas V issued the papal bull, Dum Diversas. Through this proclamation, he declared that Catholic nations should condemn any enemy of Christ to eternal slavery. African and Indigenous people were not guilty of hating Christ because they did not know about this religion. They formed great nations thousands of years prior, without the help of the Catholic Church. Yet, white people viewed them as savages because they did not think like them. They assumed that anyone who was not Catholic lacked morals, and thus, they could do whatever they wanted to them. Pope Nicholas V’s Dum Diversas got the ball rolling, justifying cruelty and subjugation.
Religious dogma created the dehumanization of African indigenous people

In 1452, Pope Nicholas V charged Alfonso of Portugal with the Christian duty to enslave any non-Christian. The Pope’s act would be the first recorded international edict to literally grant a Christian nation the right to promote, enforce, and heavily profit from slave trading. Decades later, Pope Alexander VI beckoned Christian monarchs to conquer native populations in the name of the Catholic Church, upholding his predecessor’s tradition to enslave non-Christians in whatever lands they called home (Muhammad, 2019).

While discussions about slavery often center on European nations’ wrongdoings, historians often obscure the role of the Catholic Church. The truth is like the sound of an alarm after a long night of drinking; it may sound unpleasant, but it is essential to move on from the drunken stupor.
The Catholic Church forced their views onto African and Indigenous people. There was no peaceful conversion and mending of ideological differences. Conversion by missionaries was historically violent, dehumanizing, and destabilizing for African nations. White people justified African enslavement because they did not deem non-Christians worthy of respect.

Colonization is the preamble to every injustice Black and Indigenous people experience today through white supremacy. Pope Nicholas V charged Portugal with the duty to enslave non-Christian people, crossing the rubicon.

Then this guy commented on the post:

Michael G.

1. Christianity does not enslave minds.

2. The Roman Catholic Church would be better called the Roman Constantinian Church, where the Pope replaced Caesar.

3. The abuse and misuse of Christianity brought about slavery.

4. There is no evidence to support the claim that Africans were the first people on earth.

5. A papal bull was referenced, which one?

6. The Islamic nations were enslaving people centuries before the Roman Constantinian Church did.

7. Slavery in Africa was happening before Christianity arrived.

Come on, try get some 'facts' right.

So I posted this:

Your "facts" are either totally wrong or misleading.
1) Christianity is a cult that teaches people to ignore their own eyes and logic.
2) Who cares. Irrelevant.
3) The acknowledgement of slavery as a good thing is throughout your "holy" book. Try reading it. This kind of insanity-why its a cult. (see point 1)
4) Every anthropologists in the world says you're wrong (and just endless, endless hard evidence--see point 1)
5) This isn’t a fact.
6) Yes. But Christians are enslavers throughout your holy book. (see point 1)
7) True, but completely irrelevant to the point he's (the wiseman in the video) making.

Then he posted this:

Michael G.

Stop putting forward your incorrect rhetoric and propaganda due to a lack of unbiased research.

And this:

Michael G.

Jodi Schiller, M.A.

The only pharisee I see, is you.

To which I responded:

I’m laughing at you. No counter evidence, no links to data, not even a quote from your own book saying slavery is bad (because there isn't one, the Torah doesn't count). You hurl an insult at me that says, basically, I don't subscribe to your blind, completely contradictory to facts, brainwashed hogwash. Ok, I'll take that. NO ONE WILL BE CHRISTIAN IN A GENERATION. We're smarter and better than that. thankfully.

To which he responded:

...and all that from a fake account, well done.

The irony of your posts.

The Torah does count, it's not excluded anywhere except in your mind.

Here's a quote:

Tit 3:10-11 10 A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject; 11 Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.

This is more than a second admonition.

To which I responded:

Michael G., Christians appropriated the Torah as their "old testament"--Jews did NOT give you permission to do this, you just did. This Christian thing of creating lies to condemn, because truth doesn't matter to you. Nothing fake about my account. Nothing at all. Look at it.
This quote has NOTHING to do with slavery in the bible. Nothing.

Is it meant as a scare tactic for me? If so, I don't get it. Explain it to me. Is it a threat of some kind? Just wondering.

STILL no data to support your numbered "facts"...you have no data. You have no facts. That's why. You just make shit up out of thin air when it feels good, without actually even looking at your own "holy' book.

And somehow, this doesn't penetrate your brainwashed mind as fishy. Anyone else, it does.

Backing fact-less, evidence-free words with potential threats does NOT make your case stronger, the opposite.

(and, apparently, you need to say the obvious to these people)

Here is actual information about slavery from your “holy’ book:

________________________________________________________________________

There is good reason to see this quote from his “holy” book as a threat:

Tit 3:10-11 10 A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject; 11 Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.

Christians, for much of their existence, have burned heretics alive at the stake, often after horrifically torturing them.

“Christianity has quite a relationship with torture. The primary symbol of the religion is a torture device. God’s chosen method of providing salvation was gruesome public torture. And hell has been an object of obsession for Christian artists, writers, and church fathers since the beginning. As the religious scholar Karen King puts it, there are “torturous narratives at Christianity’s foundations.” Fascination with torture, though not unique to Christianity by any means, has been a part of the religion since the beginning and the practice thereof has permeated Christian history….torture has always been in the DNA of Christianity. You can’t talk about Christianity without talking about it’s long and romantic relationship with torture.” —From this blog

This man on Linkedin knew precisely what he was doing by using that quote, even if these particular tortures were not top of mind. He further comments that my profile is fake, most likely because he is trying to figure out who really is calling him to account, how he can target me.

Obviously, his final words to me:

“This is more than a second admonition.”

—means that “Michael G” is past warning me of the danger I am in for daring to call him to account for his lies, on Linkedin, that if he can, he will be coming for me.

We must see the reality of Christians in America.

They perceive their God and their Religion as truly being about goodness and love. This is simply a delusion they foster. It has never been about that. If you look at Jesus in the Christian holy book, he isn’t kind or thoughtful or good. He’s more like an Elon Musk, he does some cool tricks and treats everyone around him badly, especially his mom, Mary.

He only addresses his mother twice in their book, once when she was giving him some information about a party he wanted to attend, and she told him they were running out of food and wine (it doesn’t say this, but I imagine she was dissuading him from attending.) He responds, “Woman” (and basically, don’t tell me what to do). The other time he addresses his mom is when he is dying on the cross. “Woman” (I give you to one of my apostles to care for you).

Good to note here that Mary was 11-14 when she gave birth to Jesus, no matter what, divine or physical, Jesus is a product of child rape.

Mary was way too young to be a mother, and was also un-mothered herself. Her impoverished parents gave her up to their synagogue when she was 3, most likely unable to support her.

She was raised in Joseph’s home, along with his other 9 or 10 children, he is estimated to have been roughly 70-80 years old.

Notice all the lies, misinformation or omission of important information in their “holy” book? We see this pattern of dishonesty continuing today with Christians in America.

It started at the beginning with Christianity, we’re seeing what’s always been there.

Christianity is not about goodness, or love, or kindness. It’s about, and has always been about, brutal, rapacious control. Winning over the sociopaths, the misogynists, the racists, and currying their support.

These people are fanatical, insane, sociopathic and incredibly dangerous.

Ignoring this fact by pretending to tolerance, is putting every life in America, and in the world in grave danger. These people, these insane cultists, are not aligned, have never truly been aligned, and will never be aligned with the values of a free society.

We, the rest of us in america, live in a delusional, wishful thinking bubble by assuming that these insane cultists, the Christians, will change, or that despite all their hateful and threatening messaging to us, comments about what they intend and ferociously anti-democratic actions, they don’t really mean it.

Why do we deny what we are seeing with are own eyes unfolding in our country? Is it because its simply too painful to acknowledge? Surely we see enough of the danger we are all in because of this fifth guard, these Christians who see themselves as their own law, their own nation, within our borders?

Christians are actively working to undermine our democracy. More evidence:

And one of the tools they are employing is one of the ways they’ve always employed, preying on the women and children:

And of course, denying abortion is truly just legalized, government-mandated femicide.

Attacking women and children has always played a large role in the way Christians maintain their dominance in society, through the horror, the terror, and the unabated brutal attack on our mothers, wives, teachers, and healers (nurses). It breaks our collective will when women are taken out in such ways. It breaks the women’s when no one, no men stand up powerfully enough to protect them, or believes them.

On Twitter, this picture appeared supposedly of a J6 traitor in jail.

This image is very reminiscent of early Christian saints and martyrs in Roman Prisons:

It is, of course, meant to stir the fervent support for these Christian martyrs, the J6 traitors, to encourage future extreme sacrifices in all Christians here in the US for their “lord and savior”, the participating in the overturning of our democracy is actually a sign for these Christians that you are a worthy martyr for the cause.

This is the reality of who we are dealing with. Fanatics.
