📢 Day 1: My Ex-Husband Stole $20 Million and I’m Homeless—Why Isn’t This Considered a Crime?
I’m writing this because I have been left homeless after my ex-husband stole $20 million from me through fraud and coercion. I have evidence. I have repeatedly gone to law enforcement, including the Berkeley Police Department where I am currently sleeping outside the station doors. Yet they refuse to open a case, investigate, or help me recover what was stolen.
Here’s the question everyone should be asking:
What would happen if Ben had stolen $20 million from another man? Would police call it a “private matter”? Would they ignore it for years? Or would they investigate, arrest him, and work to return what he stole?
Why is it that when a man steals from his wife, it isn’t even treated as a crime?
This is not a misunderstanding or a minor financial dispute. This is a massive theft that destroyed my life, left me on the streets, and continues to put me in danger every single day.
Every day from now on, I will post a new update here detailing:
How my ex-husband took $20 million from me.
The timeline of when and how I reported the crime.
How law enforcement has systematically failed me.
Why this matters not just to me, but to every woman who thinks the justice system will protect her.
I won’t stop until the truth is known, my money is returned, and those responsible for this theft—and those complicit in ignoring it—are held accountable.
Thank you for reading and standing with me.
