DOJ: Prosecute the Media With Anti-Trust Actions
No one is prosecuting media for violating anti-trust laws, and they should in keeping with the intention: Antitrust laws are statutes developed by governments to ensure fair competition.
What is more important to a functioning democracy than fair competition in our free press?
From my harrowing perspective, if this weren’t so, my story would be on the front page of every paper in the states, and maybe the world: It is that significant.
If you’re trying to hold onto power illegitimately, of course, you want to control the narrative, control what your electorate is seeing and hearing.
If you hate tyranny, you demand liberty and accountability, you demand access to quality information and data. You expect the press to hound our leaders with investigation and factual discovery, to embarrass them, to expose them for misbehavior, malfeasance, or abuse of power .
Freedom of the press in America needs to be a priority and I’m adding it to my women’s agenda to save our democracy.
