When I was trafficked in Maine, I was forced to delete my LinkedIn profile.

10,000 high-level contacts—gone. Decades of work. Every outstanding reference from nearly every job since college. Proof of who I was, how brilliant I am, what I built.

Since escaping, I’ve told LinkedIn the truth: I was tortured. Raped. Erased. Forced to delete my account.

I’ve asked them roughly 20 times over the past 10 years to reinstate it. They ignore me.

Every person on that network was a potential opportunity. Deleting this was a nuclear bomb to my career and my life. To everything I had been building.

It wasn’t just “contacts.”

Every single one of those 10,000 people was a possible door, a bridge, an investor, a collaborator, a job. Erased in one strike. That’s not just deletion—that’s detonation.
