My Understandable Obsession
(A Home I Should Be Able to Buy Right Now, Just Pick Up The Phone)

I think about houses every day.
Not just any house — a safe home at my level.
The level I built. The level I earned.
The level I was living at before it was stolen from me.
Before the kidnapping.
Before the trafficking.
Before the court-approved theft that stripped me of my name, my safety, and my future.
I am a kidnapped-and-escaped female founder.
My ex-husband, Ben Douglas of Rimon Law — 1070 Glen Rd, Lafayette, CA — stole $20M from me while I was being trafficked.
I am living in a tent.
Ben Douglas is in the $4M house I built.
People hear “safe housing” and think of four walls and a door you can lock.
For me, “safe housing” means:
- Light.
- Space.
- Privacy.
- Security.
- The ability to think clearly and plan my work without fear.
It means a home that matches the life I created for myself and my children before Ben Douglas and the state sanctioned its theft.
We do not call it “a luxury” when men keep what they have stolen from women.
We call it business as usual.
When women fight to get it back, they are told to settle for less, to lower their expectations, to be grateful for scraps.
I will not.
This isn’t about taste or status — it’s about restitution.
It’s about a woman who built a high-functioning, high-achieving home environment being shoved into a tent by a man and the system that protected him.
If you can read this and do nothing, you are not a bystander — you are a participant.
You are helping Ben Douglas keep what he stole.
You are helping the state enforce a theft it knows is unconscionable.
A safe home at my level is not extravagant.
It’s survival. It’s justice.
And I will get it back.

Ex-husband Ben Douglas (Rimon Law) stole $20M from her. Law enforcement shields him, not her, and protects the stolen assets.
