This Is How They Kill Women, “Hands Off”--and Maybe Me Someday Soon

I’m living in a tent. Totally vulnerable.

Why? Because my ex stole $20 million from me. Because my billion-dollar tech platform was stolen. Because I was held, enslaved, and tortured 2.5 years, and my perpetrators are protected, not me. Because although I’m miraculously still alive, after many assassination attempts through the years, every attempt I’ve made to rebuild has been sabotaged.

This is how the sociopathic men in charge kill women. One of the, oh so many ways, you allow them to.

Yesterday, a man circled my tent all day. Creeping, trying to talk. I ignored him. Shut my doors.

In the middle of the night, no one else around, I step out to pee. He’s pacing back and forth on the sidewalk outside. Same man. Still there.

This is not random. This is systemic.

It’s how patriarchy kills women with plausible deniability:

• Strip her of money.
• Strip her of housing.
• Make her visible and exposed.
• Fill the environment with predatory men. Don’t jail them. Send them quickly out to the public.
• Then wait for “random” violence to do the rest.

Hands off. Blame the predator. Pretend it’s just “bad luck.”

But it’s not bad luck. It’s design.

If police and judges—our employees—actually worked for taxpayers, they would have taken a report when my $20 million was stolen. They didn’t. They protect the network that keeps women captive. They protect the men who profit. And they do it with our own money. And you let them.

This is how the system finishes women like me — the ones who refuse silence and cooperation.

This sucks, totally totally sucks. I hate my life. And have for a long time now.

But at least I’m not a gullible, cowardly fool led by the nose by people dumber than me—complicit in the murder and torture of women and children across this country. At least I have that.

And this is just one of the many ways women are being killed. They’re very creative in finding ways to kill us and hide our bodies, I’ve noticed.

So what now?

Talk about this. Share it. Don’t let anyone keep pretending lust for power is “human nature.” Every time you name the patriarchy for what it is, the walls crack a little more.

If you see the patriarchy is the prison, stop protecting it. Stop defending it. Stop living like captivity is normal. Start calling it what it is.

Forward this. Post it. Argue about it. Use it to start a fight that matters. The patriarchy relies on silence. Don’t give it yours.

And don’t be confused: the people who deny us safety, who block economic protections, who keep the prison standing—they are the enemy. They are intentionally killing us. We don’t owe them politeness. We owe them resistance.

They are waging war on us, keeping us horrifically trapped and endangered, and killing and torturing women and children.

So.

Using your critical thinking skills, put your damn thinking caps on, all 340 million of you, what is the sane way to respond to people waging war on you (even if they are keeping it a secret) and killing and torturing our women and children?

Let’s see if we can break through whatever insane trance most of America seems caught up in and start fighting back.
